
Spruce Creek High grad Ryan Lochte broke two world records at the world swimming championships in Australia today, temporarily overshadowing the record-breaking performance of teammate Michael Phelps. A frequent runner-up, Lochte emerged in his own right with a stunning victory in the 200-meter backstroke. He also was part of the team that scored a world-record victory in the 800 freestyle relay.
